Beach at Blackrock

Hi I would dearly like to go to the beach at blackrock but I cannot for the life of me find any information as to what train or bus to take. I see you can get a bus from bluff street blackrock to the beach but how do you get to blackrock by public transport. Thank you. Miriam

Hi Miriam,
From Flinders Street Station (Melbourne City), catch the Frankston line train and get down at the Mentone railway station (which is in zone 2 the blue zone). Just outside the Mentone station is the bus stand, take bus 825 (Moorabbin - Southland via Black Rock & Mentone) going to Moorabbin. Going west on Balcombe road, get down on the big roundabout at Bluff rd & Balcombe rd adjoining Beach rd. From there it's just a short walk across beach road.
