November Events

The biggest thing about November Events is the Melbourne Cup (horse racing). This is televised internationally in many countries. Following this we have the continuation of the Spring racing carnival, Oaks day and the Chapel Street Food Fashion Festival.

NOVEMBER EVENTS	1^st Tuesday in November	Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse.	Hosts a series of horse races over about a week and on the 2^nd Tuesday of the month the “nation comes to a stop” for the Melbourne Cup race. Apart from this they also pick out 3 of the best dressed girls from the crowd.	Take the Flemington Showgrounds train from Flinders street; Broadmeadows train to Newmarket station and then tram 57 on racecourse road & Epsom road, Flemington.
	1^st Thursday in November	Spring Racing Carnival – Oaks day at Flemington Racecourse.	Continuation of horse racing and traditionally a day out for women at the races with a magnificent display of women’s fashion styles & competition. 	Early November	Chapel Street Food & Fashion Festival in South Yarra area.	A weekend of Fashion, Food & Music	Sandringham line train to South Yarra & then walk down to Chapel street; Tram 78, 79 on Chapel street, South Yarra.
