Portable Butane Stove usage

Hi, I was wondering if there is any law that concerns the usage of portable butane gas stove outdoor? We are planning to have a picnic but as this is the holiday season, we are aware of all other 'holiday-enjoyers' wanting to use the BBQ facility located in Chelsea Beach(our destination). To sum up, can I use a portable butane gas stove at a picnic area or anywhere? If locations are limited, please inform me. Thankyou!

Hi Vivi,
As January is a high fire danger period, with some days of Total Fire Ban in Victoria, it would be best to contact CFA for further information regarding Fire Bans and other Fire Restrictions. You can contact The Country Fire Authority on 1800 240 667 or visit Country Fire Authority. Another option is to view their current Warnings & Restrictions for the Central Fire District through this link.
Best Wishes

I appears you can use a butane stove on a beach, but you will need to clear the area of flammable material for 3 metres all around, have a vessel with 10 litres of water at hand, have it supervised by an adult, and use it only for meal preparation.
