Queen Victoria Market is one of the biggest open air Market in Melbourne. It is also known as Queen Victoria Market Melbourne, or simply Vic Markets under Melbourne Markets.

This Melbourne Market is located on the corner of Victoria & Elizabeth streets in Melbourne. The market is a major & famous tourist attraction. The QV Market offers everything from the fresh farm produce like fruits, vegetables, seafood meat & poultry products to a wide range of uniquely Australian Souvenir Gift Shops, imported electronic gadgets, toys, t-shirts, clothes, computer stuff etc. At the Market you can try your skills at haggling and possibly get things at a reasonable price.

The Suzuki Night Market commences on Wednesdays from mid November till early March in the Summer months. The Night Market opening hours are 5:30pm to 10:00pm. On the weekends, the Victoria Market comes alive with street entertainment, ranging form busker's, live bands, carnival rides etc.

The take you through the various sections of the market where you can also sample food at certain places.

Ever thought of Shop & Cook?.... Well, at Queen Victoria Market Melbourne you can do just that. You can shop and also take cooking classes, but these have to be pre-booked in advance and occur only on market days. All bookings for 'Shop & Cook' can be made on the same phone number as above. The Electrolux Cooking School is open seven days a week.

Opening hours: Vic Market hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6am to 2pm; Saturday 6am to 3pm; Sunday 9am to 4pm; NB: The market is usually closed on: Mondays, Wednesdays, Good Friday, Anzac Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

How to get there: From Flinders Street station, catch Tram 19, 57 or 59 which run on Elizabeth Street. These trams start from the corner of Flinders Street Station & Elizabeth Street in the City.
