St Kilda Beach - Melbourne City Guide including St Kilda Pier, Luna Park, Acland Street etc.

St Kilda Beach is in a cosmopolitan & trendy area and is famous with tourists. Walk to the historic St Kilda Pier. Further up from the St Kilda Pier kiosk is a Wildlife Sanctuary for Small Penguins. At certain times of the year St. Kilda hosts a lot of sporting activities such as triathlons, cycling etc. Catch a ferry to Williamstown. Another reason why this area is popular because of Luna Park which is next door and has a rollercoaster ride, and other rides. Luna Park is open all year around. If you get tired of all the activities just stroll down to the famous Acland Street or Fitzroy Street cafes for a bite. Getting here is easy by tram. Take the Acland Street/St Kilda trams 96 to Acland Street, or Luna Park/St Kilda Beach tram 79 or Fitzroy Street/St Kilda tram 112 up to Fitzroy Street only. The St Kilda Art & Craft market is held on the Esplanade every Sunday 10am to 5pm.
